Building the Future

The Friendship House.Only when the people are empowered to be masters of their own destiny, can a community be enabled to care or, protect, and sustain a facility such as the Friendship House.

The Friendship House Foundation scholarship and Job Prepareness organization was established to make sure that nothing like this ever happens again

The Bakersfield Community Services organization and the Bakersfield Black Business Association agreed that the community should be able to participate in the building of the RESTORED FRIENDSHIP HOUSE.
God is on Time, Every Time

The Friendship House Foundation Scholarship Committee was founded by the people that actually worked, volunteered, maintained, serviced and protected the building. More than anything, this committee of the common people of this neighborhood and community, wish to teach the young people that they are family and have the responsibility of passing on the knowledge of how to effectively organize a community for change.
